About Mi Familia con Richardson
Across the country, the Latino voting bloc could be the decisive factor in early primary and caucus states.
As such, the Richardson for President campaign is rolling out an aggressive nationwide program to capitalize on this emerging force in American politics.
Mi Familia con Richardson will be a nationwide family-to-family grassroots mobilization network targeted at the Latino community. In communities across America, with an emphasis on "early" and February 5th states, Mi Familia con Richardson will recruit family-based chapters that will serve as message disseminators in their local areas.
A key component of each local Mi Familia is the family chapter concept. Each family chapter will provide key grassroots mobilization efforts and recruit other family chapters in order to expand family by family across the nation.
Mi Familia con Richardson is poised to become a major force in national politics, mobilizing an entire demographic towards common goals and values. Through this family-based grassroots organization, Governor Richardson’s vision for America will resound through the entire Latino community and become the basis for momentum across the country.
What is Mi Familia con Bill Richardson
Mi Familia con Bill Richardson is a community-based effort to organize around the candidacy of New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson for President.
The goals include the creation of Mi Familia con Richardson chapters throughout the United States. Chapters can be as small as five members or as large as twenty-five members. Each member agrees to donate $5.00, $25.00 or $50.00 to the Richardson for President campaign and raise a similar amount from other supporters. Each member would then recruit five new members who agree to do the same.
In addition, each new member agrees to perform at least five of the following activities between the time they enroll and the Democratic primary or caucus in their state:
- Attend community/neighborhood organization meetings to represent the Richardson for President campaign.
- Distribute campaign literature in their neighborhood, at events, and at public gatherings.
