De-Authorize the War

Congress has the power to end this war. They authorized the invasion of Iraq under the War Powers Act and they can now de-authorize it and bring the troops home.

De-authorization can’t be vetoed. And it’s not up for negotiation with a President who believes mere stubbornness is a foreign policy and that he can just ignore the will of the American people.

The time has come to stand up to George Bush once and for all. Let’s not wait or waver while more people die.

Yes, I urge Congress to immediately de-authorize the war in Iraq and bring the troops home. All of them.
